Lowell Members Absent: J. Lipoma, B. Blount Staff Present: Police Chief Pittman Public: There was one member of the public present at the beginning of the meeting. CALL TO ORDER The meeting was called to order @ 5:05 PM APPROVAL OF AGENDA Unanimously approved APPROVAL OF MINUTES The minutes for the previous meeting were not available for approval. They will be reviewed and approved at the next meeting. CHAIRMAN'S REPORT Chairman Brace will not be able to attend the August 2nd meeting. Vice Chair Lowell will chair the meeting. MARINE DEPARTMENT REPORT Chief Pittman reported that the Hussey Shoal bout is in place; there was an oil spill in the harbor last week and there were a few rescues over the holiday weekend. NATURAL RESOURCES REPORT None PUBLIC COMMENT ON MARINE DEPARTMENT / NATURAL RESOURCES REPORTS Question was ask about status of propagation lab on Brant Point; Chief Pittman stated that it is almost finished. OLD BUSINESS 1. F. McClure reported on the activities of the Fertilizer Advisory Committee. 2 In response to question from Chair, Chief Pittman advised that status of the Shellfish Management Plan Implementation Committee was not clear; no appointments have been made by the Board of Selectmen. 3. F. McClure volunteered to provide spreadsheet of suggestions for goals and priorities for the Board. 4, K. Kuntz provided Chair with copies of brochures and other written information provided to boaters by Town Pier, Nantucket Moorings and Boat Basin. Chair will hold for future discussion. NEW BUSINESS Board scheduled workshop session for July 19th @ 5:00 PM. PUBLIC QUESTIONS AND COMMENT None RECAP and ITEMS FOR NEXT MEETING Goals and Priorities in spreadsheet format to be available for July 19th meeting; Board to discuss and assign responsibilities and priorities.
