CALL TO ORDER
APPROVAL OF AGENDA
Unanimously approved
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Dr. Boyce made a motion that the board vote on the Jan. 5, 2016 minutes at the Feb. 2,
2016 meeting of the HSAB so that members Bill Blount and Wendy McCrae, who were
present at the Jan. 5, 2016 meeting, are able to review and vote the minutes from that
meeting. Mr. Lowell seconded Dr. Boyce's motion. The HSAB voted 3 -1, Dr. Boyce, Mr.
Brace and Mr. Lowell in favor, and Mr. Glowacki not in favor, of continuing the vote on
the Jan. 5, 2016 minutes to the Feb. 2, 2016 meeting.
Dr. Boyce made a motion that the HSAB approve the Dec. 15 minutes and Mr. Lowell
seconded that motion. The HSAB then voted 3 -0, Mr. Brace, Dr. Boyce and Mr. Lowell
in favor and Mr. Glowacki abstaining, to approve the Dec. 15, 2015 minutes.
CHAIRMAN'S REPORT
Mr. Brace gave a brief update on scallopers Sharon and Pennel Ames' challenge efforts
in relation to their catch being confiscated on Nov. 13, 2015 for an alleged seed violation.
Mr. Drake then began to offer some details on this alleged seed violation, adding that he
wouldn't continue unless his comments were off the record. Mr. Brace said the minutes
could reflect his request. Mr. Glowacki said there is no such thing as off the record at an
open meeting and at 6:15 p.m., Mr. Glowacki left the meeting and did not return. With
the loss of a quorum, the meeting was automatically adjourned.
