June 6,1956 The regular meeting of the County Commissioners called to order at 8 :05 P .M. by Chairman Pease. Present: Pease,Glidden,Hardy,Burgess,Coffin. The minutes of the last meeting read and approved by declaration. A letter was presented from Leroy F.Ryder and Nellie A.Ryder stating that land taken from them for widening Lower Pleasant Street damaged their Lower Pleasant property to, an amount of $35.00. Street Voted:to instruct the Town Counsel to draw a deed from said Ryders to the Town and the Town Counsel is authorized to obtain a check for $35.00 to said Ryders from the County Treasurer in settlement for damage to their property. A letter from the Nantucket Planning Board read, stating add Board does not have any rights or powers in connection with roads until Official Map is accepted by the town. t-J Petition for, relocation of a section of Eel Point Road presented. ltJ f1f- Voted:to advertise that a view and hearing on relocating a section of Eel Point Road would be held at the locus,at 10 A.M. Also he wished to. know if Indian Ave. on the Cliff was available for use? Also Mr. Sayles said that Eell'oint Roads;Eel Point East,Eel Point North,and Eel Point road to MadaketharlJor should be. marked to show they are public and th'ir location identified.
