CALL TO ORDER: 4:00 P.M.
PRESENT: Gardner, Glidden, Paterson, Reinhard. ABSENT: Stackpole.
STAFF PRESENT: Eric Savetsky, Executive Director; Jesse Bell, Assistant Director; Susan
Campese, Administrator /Finance Manager; Marian Wilson, Assistant Administrator.
Also present at call to order: Nantucket Golf Management (NGM) President, Alan Costa; Miacomet
Golf Course (MGC) Superintendent, Sean Oberly; Inquirer and Mirror Reporter, Lindsay Pykosz.
A. GOLF BUSINESS:
1. Sconset Golf Course (SGC) - Proposed 2016 Budget Discussion: Mr. Costa presented the
draft 2016 budget which reflected an expectation of increased income due to the course being open
for a full season in 2016. Expenses were also projected to go up due to an increase in seasonal labor,
supplies, fuel and cost of goods sold as well as an additional two weeks of operation in October.
2. Miacomet Golf Course (MGC) - Proposed 2016 Budget Discussion: Mr. Costa presented
a draft of the 2016 Miacomet Golf Course budget previously provided by electronic correspondence
and answered questions about notable line -items and changes.
3. 2016 Proposed Rates — Discussion: Mr. Costa recommended eliminating the Resident
Golf Cards and increasing the 9 -hole greens fee rate by $5 and the 18 -hole greens fee rate by $10 at
both courses. Further, Mr. Costa recommended an increase of five percent for legacy single and
family memberships. After some discussion, there was consensus on the following rates for the
2016 season:

Upon a motion made by Commissioner Glidden and duly seconded by Commissioner Paterson, it
was VOTED to approve the modified rate schedule. Commissioner Gardner abstained.
Commissioner Gardner departed the meeting at 5:39 p.m.
4. 2016 Proposed Golf Policies — Discussion: Mr. Costa suggested certain policy revisions
for the Commission to consider in an effort to improve golf operations next year, such as
eliminating the Resident Cards, changing the Senior League start time in order to increase
availability of tee times, limiting 9 -hole play at MGC and adding beer and wine service at SGC.
Discussion of the pros and cons ensued and it was the consensus to wait on voting policy changes
until all Commissioners were present to paKtieipate in the discussion and render a vote.
Ms. Wilson departed the meeting at Y-58 p. m.
ADJOURNMENT: Upon a motion made and duly seconded, it was VOTED to adjourn at 6:17 P.M.
