Ms. Timmermann called the meeting to order at 3:02 p.m. The agenda was unanimously approved. Minutes from the July 2, 2014 meeting were unanimously approved. Ms. Timmermann asked Mr. Kuester to outline the proposed BOS presentation for Wednesday, July 9. Mr. Kuester supplied a draft format. It was decided that the NHC should present a timeline, photographs and MASS DOT surface regulations to define its position regarding the proposed bike path. A copy of the NHC responsibilities was also handed out and elements for inclusion for a BOS presentation /letter were drafted. It was agreed the key message is to simply ask for time to gain accurate information to assist in our review, and ask that other boards do the same. We are not opposed to the path concept but our concern is that the National Landmark status and the significance of the historic resource were not given priority in the planning process and that this importance aspect should be paramount. Ms. Timmermann encouraged all members to try to attend the BOS meeting. The NHC meeting adjourned at promptly 4:00 p.m. Respectfully submitted: Michael May 18
