A. Hummock Pond Bike Path violation update — Kara Buzanoski — Me t at the wetlands Wnd4 y7vith Victor
Brandon and his equipment to move the excess materials, which took 6 -8 dumb -track loop outhgyrveyors have
been out to get the grades for excavated areas. Stated that she and Mr. Carlson will go outZhw§My to dig hand
test holes to evaluate the soil profile. Side slopes are seeded with upland mix. The wetland areas have not yet been
seeded. Expressed the opinion that it looks as if the situation is what she and the commission me looking for.
Staff — Have preliminary as- built. The next plan is to finish this at the regular meeting. Will verify hydraulic
connection and distribute that information to the commissioners.

A. Notice of Intent
L •Sconset Beach Preservation Fund — Baxter Road Area SE48 -2581 (continuance request)

Documentation Supporting documents and plans.
Staff Stated that his office received only about half the information requested in time for the review prior to the
meeting. The continuance was a phone -call request from the applicant's representative. Stated that usual
procedures for a continuance is for the applicant to send a written request for a specific date; did not
receive a date- specific request.
Invited the public to submit written comments to the Natural Resource Office by Friday.
Representatives None
Discussion Evenings available are Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday for the hearing. The four commissioners in
attendance stated they can do any of the three nights.
Public Richard Boucher, 83 Baxter Road — (hand out at table) Read an article about the history of the
Nantucket Jetties that resulted from shoaling in the harbor entrance. It is an example of similar
procedure to what is taking place here with the revetment. Reviewed the principal of `leading edge" and
how `Sconset is the leading edge of the wing that is Nantucket; protect `Sconset and you protect the
whole island.
Motion Motion to Continue to 4 p.m. August 28.
