Miacomet Golf Course ( "MGC ") — Members'Annual Meeting: President John Daniels opened the meeting, introduced new committee members and thanked those that were leaving for their service. Mr. Daniels stated that the mission of the MGC Members Committee was to represent and act as a liaison for the collective membership, working in partnership with both golf course management and the Land Bank, with the objective of benefitting all who use the facility. Gene Briskman, Golf Committee Chair, and Phil Raneri, House Committee Chair, updated the membership on accomplished goals and pending projects of their respective committees. MGC Capital Program Committee Chair and Land Bank Commissioner Robert Gardner summarized the charge of the committee and presented the conceptual master plan, stating that the next step would be to form a financial workgroup to analyze and put together various funding scenarios for consideration. Members questioned how much the clubhouse building would cost (an estimated $4 -6 million) and discussed financing options, such as increasing membership rates, playing fees, assessments, Land Bank funds, wedding functions /events, etc. Some members questioned the need for a new facility at all, while others showed support for the concept. Mr. Gardner called on members with a background in finance to get in touch with John Daniels to express interest in participating in the work roup. ADJOURNMENT: 4:55 P.M.
