I. PUBLIC MEETING
A. Public Comment —
M tV
Brian Madden, Laurentide Environmental Consultants, Inc.: S. Cambridge Street, Arkansas
Avenue to Long Pond Drive — Planning Board is requiring pavement. ConCom permitting was
for pervious road surface. Discussion of alternative mitigation options to protect wetlands in
advance of re- application.

Representative David M. Haines, Haines Hydrogeologic Consulting
Ms Menz
Public Bruce Perry, Third -party Consultant Conservation Commission — Feel three years for
a decision in regards to Madaket sewer is woefully short. Still need to mitigate
effluence going into the harbor.
Discussion If sewer goes out to past a Madaket residence, the owner will be required to tie into
the sewer regardless of what is in the ground. That could happen in six to seven
years. Project could be conditioned around the septic with flexibility in regards to
possible sewer.
Oktay — Would like to have on the record a letter from Richard Ray as decisions will
be based upon his advice.

Discussion FERTILIZER:
Proposed by -law says three pounds per 1000 square feet. In buffer zones, should
restrict use beyond recommendation of the proposed by -law. Fertilizer Commission
recommended no phosphorous unless recommended by a soil specialist; should
include that. Need to include the determination that compost is a fertilizer and should
be treated as such; even leaf compost tends to overload nitrogen and phosphates.
