Representative Nathan McMullen
Roy Okurowski, Coastal Engineering
Public Dave Fronzutto, Harbor Master - Conditions should include no motorized vessels, no
tie -up cleats, minimum draft of vessel, and perhaps pull the end of the walkway
farther back from the water's edge.
Bruce Perry, Third -party Consultant Conservation Commission - Can't express a
comment of agreement that the grasses definitively indicate the mean high water
mark.
Cormac Collier, Executive Director Nantucket Land Council - Commission is in a
position to determine this is a dock.
Discussion Discussion about waivers and water- dependent use as they pertain to this application.
Bennett - Would prefer to see the handrail gone; it is a barrier to wildlife and a visual
barrier.
Fronzutto - Mean -high water can be defined by looking at storm flow, rack line or
vegetation, but there is no definition. The engineer's calculation is probably correct.
Steinauer - Would like to know which is harder on a salt marsh, a beaten path or a
walkway. Concerned about dinghies or kayaks piling up on the marsh.
Motion Motion to Close. ( Brescher) seconded
