Discussion Discussion about existence of possibly rare or significant flora and fauna and whether
or not it pushes this project into a resource area. Oktay — There are different species
in different locations; this is not a case of one or two plants that are easily
transplanted. Steinauer — Applicant needs to present a transplant plan for this
commission to review.

Discussion Steinauer — With wire mesh placed onto a split rail fence, it becomes a structure.
Plants would be removed to allow a structure within the 50 -foot buffer. Even though
native plants are being used, the existing vegetation is not being replaced in kind.
Bennett — Don't see why the fence needs to go into the 50 -foot buffer. Steinauer —
Can't see why the fence can't move off the 50 -foot buffer aside from esthetics.
