Short Sale/Lien Compromise Request - 76 Goldfmch Drive Realty Trust: Ms. Bell presented a summary of events leading up to the Land Bank's placing of a lien against the title to 76 Goldfinch Drive for the unreported transfer of beneficial interest which occurred in May of 2009. She reported that the property had been on the market for some time and that Barre Savings Bank had recently commenced foreclosure proceedings against the owner. Further, there was also a pending short sale offer on the property which was acceptable to the bank but contingent upon the Land Bank accepting a reduced payment of$10,000 on its outstanding lien. Ms. Bell recommended that the Commission accept the proposal, as the Land Bank would receive nothing if the property went to foreclosure.
