Minutes of the meeting of September 10,2010: The meeting was held at
4pm at 2 Fairgrounds Road, Nantucket, MA 02554
Members Present: Dorothy Hertz, chair., Linda Barrett, sec., John Belash
Augie Ramos, Mary Wawro, Linda Williams
Members Absent: Sue Marques
Staff Present: Maryanne Worth, Ann Medina
Members of the Public: No one from the public was present.
1. Meeting called to order: The meeting was called to order at 4:14pm.
II. Quorum: A quorum was present.
III. Approval of Agenda/Minutes: The agenda was unanimously approved.
The minutes of September 9, 2010 were unanimously approved with a
correction.
IV. Public Comment: There was no public comment.
V. Action/Discussion: It was decided the name of our report to the BOS
would be "Back to Basics".
Mary Wawro had written a mini report for the BOS, we all went over it and
some word refining was done.
4:19pm- Dorothy left the room 4:22pm-Dorothy came back
The community needs statement was refined.
5:12pm- Dorothy left the room 5:15pm-Dorothy came back.
5:18pm-John left the room 5:20pm-John came back
5:22pm -Dorothy left the room 5:24pm-Dorothy came back
The Council decided that the contracts with the Town could be awarded up
to three years but they would need to be renewed every fiscal year as needs
do change.
Adlourned: The meeting was adjourned at 5:30pm.
Next Meeting: The next meeting is September 14,2010 at 4pm at 2
Fairgrounds Road to go over the "Back to Basics" report before it is turned
in to the BOS.
