Minutes of the meeting of August 26,2010: The meeting took place at 3:30pm at
2 Fairgrounds Road, Nantucket, MA 02554
Members Present: Dorothy Hertz chair., Linda Barrett sec., John Belash, Augie
Ramos, Linda Williams (3 :50pm)
Members Absent: Sue Marques, Rachel Rosen, Mary Wawro
Staff Present: Ann Medina (3:45pm)
Members of the Public Present: Whitey Willauer (BaS)
I. Called to Order: The meeting was called to order at 3: 5 Opm
II. Quorum: A quorum was established.
III. Approval of Agenda: The agenda was approved with an addition.
IV. Public Comment: There was no public comment.
V. Action/Discussion: Dorothy discussed the telephone conversations she had
today with Bob Martin (former procurement officer for the city of Brockton)
initiated by him. Dorothy will ask for a formal meeting with Libby to discuss
these conversations.
Continuing discussions of methods of funding and monitoring contracts took
place.
4:20pm Linda W. stepped out of room, back in room at 4:28pm.
4:38pm Linda W. stepped out and came back in at 4:41pm with the new
procurement law.
Question from the public asked if there was a way to determine basic needs costs
per person. The council will look into those details.
5:01pm Ann stepped out of the room and came back at 5:03pm with a letter and
questions that the CRC used in determining levels of funding.
VI.Approva10fMinutes: The minutes of the August 19, 2010 meeting were
unanimously approved as well as the notes from Aug. 18th.
Next meeting: September 2, 2010 at 3:30pm at 2 Fairgrounds Road.
Agenda: Comparative criteria for evaluation of proposals - continue discussions
for report due September 15,2010.
Motion to Adlourn: Linda W. made motion to adjourn, unanimously voted at
5 :04pm
