at BOS Meeting August 18,2010

N.B. of August 19; 2010: Some CHS members attended the 6pm meeting of
the BOS, court room, 2nd floor, 16 Broad Street, Nantucket, MA 02554
Members Present: Dorothy Hertz, Linda Barrett
Staff Present: Maryanne Worth
Purpose: To listen to discussion, deliberations and actions of the BOS in
reviewing charge to CHS regarding annual health and human services
requests for proposals. The following is a summary of such.
After some discussion between Libby and BOS members as to whether or
not the CHS may need more time, Maryanne was asked to speak to the
board. Both Maryanne and Dorothy went forward to speak. Maryanne
reiterated that the CHS was given a charge with specifics and had been
working very hard to meet the seven week deadline. She understood that the
RFP process was because the contracts weren't legal. {No response was
made to what she understood.} Dorothy asked the BOS to allow us to
continue with the September 15th deadline for our presentation. Discussion
followed amongst the BOS and Libby that if not enough information was in
our report, that the BOS could then extend our time and/or the present
contracts.
