Absent: Susan Marques, Jackie McGrady and Maria Pena. Meeting was called to order at 5:10 pm when a quorum was established. The minutes of January 11th and January 15th were approved by unanimous consent. The Council for Human Services oversees two separate committees, The Contract Review Committee (established in 1993) and the Human Services Council. The CRC deals with finances/contracts with Human Services agencies and the Council members deal with the delivery of human services. The CRC was created by a request from the FinCom to the BOS so that there would be a better understanding and accountability of town funds. Who will be the lead agency for this funding if CRC no longer exists? That is unknown at this time. Town meeting: who will speak for the CHS/CRC at town meeting? Linda Williams will speak at town meeting on article 33; if article 8 is not called it will go through as is. BOS meeting: Dorothy will go to BOS meeting, she would like a group letter drafted, that she would present in open forum, to address the treatment and integrity of members of both committees. She will put a letter in the paper first, to speak to the article that was in the paper inferring that two members of the CRC whose husbands are on FinCom influence their husbands to vote a certain way.
