Mr. Quigley moved, with Ms. Van lieu seconding, the approval ofthe Minutes of tht?i~August~10
meeting. Voted 3-0. Mr. Dickson abstained. P ::', N

The members discussed briefly the situation regarded the Ratner house, already in tile water, o~heep
Pond Road. They questioned how the Town handled such problems at present. Is this a violatici1 of the
Beach Management Plan? Is it littering? Is there a fine imposed?
Mr. Quigley moved, with Ms. Van lieu seconding, approval of the final draft of a letter regarding BMAC's
current status, pending editorial review by the Committee, before submission to the Town Manager.
Voted 4-0.
The members then discussed a list of items to be included in the 2009-2010 Annual Report. The
following accomplishments were approved for the list:
The Committee
Continues its most important function as a forum for the public to bring forward issues
about beach operations and for questions from the Board of Selectmen
Was instrumental in the formulation of amendments to the Beach Management Plan,
including limiting capacity control on beaches, elimination of glass products, and monitoring of all ATV
patrols by a full-time officer
Pursued increased public awareness of beach issues through the news media
Assisted Town Departments in improving oversight of large beach events
Mr. Quigley moved, with Mr. Dickson seconding, a motion to approve the Annual Report, pending
editorial revision prior to submission to the Town Manager. Voted 4-0.
The members discussed briefly the responsibilities of the Chair and Vice Chair to the Committee.
The members asked that the next meeting be determined for sometime in November.
The meeting was adjourned at 4:00 pm.
