HomeMy WebLinkAbout2009-03-26 d '-D -= = --< Ul ~.~ -=:J ~, W Town of Nantucket County Finance Review Committee Minutes - County Finance Review Committee Meeting, held March 26th, 2009 !Approved May 14th, 20091 A duly noticed meeting of the County Finance Review Committee was held in the conference room at #2 Fairgrounds Road on Tuesday, March 26th, 2009, commencing at 4:00 PM. Present: Chairman Jim Kelly, Charity Benz, Steve McCluskey, Peter Morrison, Tim Soverino, and John Tiffany Absent: Christy Kickham, Matthew Mulcahy, and Michael Rosen Also present: C. Elizabeth Gibson, Irene Larivee, and Craig Abernathy Call to Order: Chairman Kelly called the meeting to order at 4:00 PM. Announcements/U pdates: None Review of FY 2009 Nantucket County Budget: Chairman Kelly noted that the request to amend the FY 2009 County budget will allocate a portion of the Deeds Excise Fund Balance, $850,000, for the Police Station Project. Ms. Gibson added that the request was approved on the previous evening by the County Commission. She commented that this request is part of an effort to use any remaining funds before the end of the year, as they will revert to the State at that time. Minutes - County Finance Review Committee March 26t\ 2009 Page 2 of2 Ms. Benz moved to adopt the request, seconded by Mr. Morrison. So voted unanimously. Review of FY 2010 Nantucket County Budget: Chairman Kelly explained that this request will increase the amount budgeted for maintenance of effort by $67,000. Mr. McCluskey moved to adopt the request; seconded by Ms. Benz. So voted unanimously. New Business: None. Old Business: None. Date of Next Meeting: The date of the next meeting is to be determined.
