" ~ P l~ special meeting of the Rights of Way Committee was held in the Town and ,lcounty Building on July 16, 1980 at 8:00 PM with Mr. Waine being absent. d :1 lIThe committee discussed the Sconset Path again on a letter received from ,:Mr. Waine Holmes who attended the meeting on behalf of his client Mr. Matteson, t'North Bluff Sconset. He cited in his letter that the path in spots is too IInarrow to be safe for the public. He suggested closing the path for repairs ~ior that other provisions can be made. The committee voted to view the path on Ha motion made by Mr. Yacus and seconded by Mr. Visco. t !IThe Committee discussed the proposed land registration plan of Mr. Alexander !,M . Craig Jr. Mr. Eldridge stated that Mr. Craigs deed until 1944 did not I'.\'read as it does now. The portion of land from the top of the bank to the water , is questionable. II ~iMr. Yacus made a motion to file an objection to referenced land below the Hbank which is questionable based on Atty. Driscolls Title Search and Atty. IIGoglias (Town Counsel) opinion. Seconded by Mr. Eldridge, so voted. !lMr. Yacus made a motion to file an objection to lack of existing way and !;turnaround not shown on plan for registration which has been used by the ;lpublic for more or less than 50 years, seconded by Mr. Visco, so voted. il IIMr. Yacus made a motion to register an objection to closing off the traveled "I,way not shown on Land Court plan filed by chain. Committee believes that ithe inhabitants have prescriptive rights within the way, seconded by Mr. Visco, dso voted. liThe committee voted to send their recommendations to the County Commissioners -for filing an objection on behalf of the Inhabitants of the Town of Nantucket.
