The regular meeting of the Rights of Ways Committee was held in the Town and
County Building on AugU3t 20, 1980 at 8:00 PM with Mr. Waine and Visco being
absent.
Mr. Yacus made a motion to recommend to the County Commissioners to file an
appearance in the matter of the Karr Land Court Submission. The committee
feels that the Town has rights in land which lies within Parcell, North of
Parcel B, Land Court Plan 9595-A2, seconded by Mr. Eldridge, so voted.
The Committee wants to Protect the Towns interest in Goose Pond Lane.
Mr. Eldridge brought up the matter of Polpis Harbor Access Road and stated
that there are at the present 40 boats in the Harbor. He suggested that the
chairman approach Mr. Craig about settling the matter by the Town giving up
two thirds of the land in question and Mr. Craig giving up one third.
This would be an amicable compromise to avoid a legal battle.
Mr. Yacus made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 8:45 PM seconded by
Mr. Eldridge, so voted.
