Mrs. Beck convened the meeting at 10:00 am. Its purpose was to view the two shortifilms whi<;BPlum
Television had created to help BMAC with its summer campaign to alert beachgoers:~ respectfiil beach
behavior. Mr. Dickson's premises offered opportunities for viewing the films, which were receii&d
enthusiastically by everyone present.
The members also discussed with Mrs. Beck and Mr. Dickson important points they should make when
interviewed Saturday morning, June 21, on Plum by Kate Brosnan.
Mr. Carlson communicated to the members his efforts to alert the public about the beach closings at
Madaket and Cisco and some of the public distress about them. His remarks were quoted in the issue of
the "Inquirer & Mirror" published that morning.
The Committee will meet as scheduled next on June 19 at its usual place and time at the Land Bank.
