Craig Property - Nantucket Rowing Request: The Commission considered a request from the Nantucket Rowing Club for additional space to store boats and equipment on the Land Bank's Craig property. The Commission discussed possible alternative locations for the program and determined not to approve the request based on the public's intense use of the property. 8. WHIP Grant Applications - Execution Authorizations: The Commission authorized the Chairman to execute a document authorizing the Director to execute forms for receipt of WHIP grant funds awarded in 2004. 9. Norcross Property - Use Request: The Commission reviewed a proposed boat storage agreement with the abutter to the Land Bank's Norcross Property and authorized the Director to execute the agreement. 10. Peterson Property - Bench Dedication: The Commission approved language for the dedication of a bench at the Peterson property to longtime Nantucket resident, Alan Brown. 11. Equipment Purchase Request - Replacement Landscaping Trailer: Upon a motion made and duly seconded, it was VOTED to authorize the purchase of a new landscape trailer from Cape Cod Trailer Storage in the amount of $2,396. 12. Miacomet Golf Course - Management Update: a. Operations Advance: After a discussion of reduced revenue based on the recent course renovations, upon a motion made and duly seconded, it was VOTED to approve the June 10, 2008 warrant document in the amount of $250,000 as a cash advance to Miacomet Golf to fund course operations expenses. b. Dress Code Discussion: Commissioner Johnson initiated a discussion regarding the enforcement of a seasonal dress code which would require players to wear collared shirts, sneakers or golf shoes and prohibit t-shirts, denim pants, cut-offs, work boots or short shorts on the course. Upon a motion made and duly seconded, it was VOTED to ask Miacomet Golf staff to begin posting notices and reminding patrons of the dress code policy. E. TRANSFER BUSINESS: 1. Transfer Record Nos. 29024 through 29121: The Commission reviewed transfers for the period of May 1, 2008 through May 31, 2008. a. Current "M" Exemptions and Liens: The Commission authorized placing liens against the following properties as a result of the purchasers claiming the "M" exemption as first time buyers of real property: No. 29081 Lisa Johnsen-Gulley and John Gulley No. 29084 Cameron T. and Julie C. REGULAR BUSINESS: 1. Annual "M" Exemption Amount Adoption: Based upon the current prices for residential real property in the Town and County of Nantucket, upon a motion made and duly seconded, it was VOTED that the value of the "M" exemption shall remain $400,000 for the calendar year 2008. H. PERSONNEL MANAGEMENT: 1. Seasonal Landscape Assistant: Upon a motion made and duly seconded, it was VOTED to approve an hourly wage increase from $22 per hour to $24 per hour for Seasonal Landscape Assistant Brian Paonessa. The Commission authorized the Director to execute a Personnel Change Form to be provided to the county treasurer.
