Members Present: Maureen Beck, Chair, Tom Dickson, Colin Leddy, John Johnson
Mrs. Beck convened the meeting at 4:15 pm and asked for approval of the Minutes for 24 April 2008.
Mr. Leddy requested that in the paragraph noting the carefully bagged litter found at Nobadeer Beach
other trash which was also found piled near the bags, an 8-gallon can, an industrial fishing net, and
other large broken debris, be added to the paragraph as well. The members unanimously approved the
Minutes with these additions.
Mr. Leddy stated that the Miacoment parking blockage has remained in place. He wonders if it was
placed by the Land Bank and will ask the Beach Manager.
Mrs. Beck wonders about tracks visible from the air at and over the bluff along Madequecham. She will
ask the Beach Manager.
Mrs. Beck reminded the members that the meetings for May are the 15th. The nod, and the 29th.
Mr. Dickson will continue to try to reach Jenelle at Plum. She has been on vacation.
The members requested that the Beach Manager bring the new beach driving brochures for the next
meeting. A question arose about a vague referral on the map side to the text on the other side.
Mr. Leddy, commenting on the narrowness of the beach from Access 20-22, wondered if signs of caution
or closure of the beach should be installed. Other members did not recall any instance of such signage
being placed until after the spring shifts from the shoals occurred.
Members reviewed for Mr. Johnson the winter procedure for removing the Collum property from the
beach driving map. Mr. Collum continues to rattle his saber about the issue.
The meeting was adjourned at 4:45 pm. The next meeting will be 15 May 2008.
