HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC 2005-02-23 COUNTY COMMISSIONERS Minutes of the Meeting of 23 February 2005 at 7:00 PM. The meeting took place in the Court Room, Town and County Building, Nantucket, MA 02554. Members of the Commission present were Bruce Watts, Timothy Soverino, Robert F. Murphy, Michael Glowacki and Douglas Bennett. Chairman Glowacki called the meeting to order at 8:30 PM, following a meeting of the Board of Selectmen. Approval of Minutes of 9 February 2005. So voted by consensus of the Commission. Approval of Payroll Warrant for February 2005. Mr. Bennett moved approval; seconded by Mr. Watts. So voted. Approval of Treasury Warrant for February 2005. Mr. Watts moved approval; seconded by Mr. Soverino. So voted. Public Hearinq to Consider Acceptance of Grant of Easements (7) in Connection with Construction of Old South Road Bicycle Path. Chairman Glowacki opened the hearing and asked if any individual was present who wished to speak in favor of, or in opposition to the acceptance of easements. As no individual spoke, Mr. Glowacki closed the hearing. Mr. Soverino moved to accept the following easements: one permanent and one temporary easement granted by Walter J. Glowacki, for bicycle path purposes at 130 Old South Road; one temporary easement granted by Donald W. Holdgate, Jr. and Theresa Holdgate for bicycle path purposes at 42 Old South Road; one temporary easement granted by Gertrude M. Holdgate and Donald W. Holdgate, Trustees of Holdgate Realty Trust, for bicycle path purposes at 50 Old South Road; one permanent easement from Myles M. Reis, Trustee of Beezer Trust for bicycle path purposes at 45 Nobadeer Farm Road; one permanent easement from Great Point Partners LLC for bicycle path purposes at 128 Old South Road, and one permanent easement and one temporary easement from Brian Dodge and Pamela Moffitt Dodge for bicycle path purposes at 31 Pine Crest Drive; seconded by Mr. Watts. So voted. It was noted that the County is expecting one more temporary easement from Denis Gazaille, Marine Lumber Company, at 58 Old South Road and it is hoped this easement will be ready for acceptance shortly. Mr. Soverino moved to continue the hearing until March 9, 2005 for the purpose of accepting this easement; seconded by Mr. Watts. So voted. Mr. Murphy thanked Senior Planner Andrew Vorce for his hard work on this project. There being no further business before the Commission, the meeting was unanimously adjourned at 8:35 PM. Approved the 9th day of March 2005.
