Members Present: Maureen Beck, Chair, Tom Dickson, Colin Leddy
Mrs. Beck convened the meeting at 4:00 pm. The Minutes of 6 December 2007 were approved after
discussion about re-phrasing some of the notes.
In paragraph 1 both Mr. Dickson and Mr. Leddy recommended that Mrs. Beck ask The Town Manager
where the Town would specifically install any snow fence it might provide for the Collum prop~y. TheX
both were reluctant to support any installation other than for protection of the du~:;~f:v1rs. Beck will a~~
the Town Manager about that rather than change the wording of the Minutes and ~ 'the me~rs

In paragraph 2 Mr. Leddy asked that the three calls to Mrs. Beck be amended thus: ~rs. Beck~

In paragraph 4 both Mr. Dickson and Mr. Leddy spoke about the fishing tradition at Point of Breakers,
and both commented on the Collums' possible unhappiness to have their address on the Map.
In paragraph 5 Mr. Leddy noted that both suggestions were his. Mrs. Beck merely offered them from
her notes.
Since the agenda for the meeting was meant to focus on a year's end review of the Committee's work
and the financial report from the Town Manager, the members present decided to keep this agenda for
the next meeting on January 10th since the others may have been prevented from attending because of
the stormy weather.
Mr. Leddy noted that the steps at Fisherman's Beach were in the process of further repairs but that the
public telephone at Surfside Public Beach, knocked down by the October storm, remained unattended
and unrepaired. Mrs. Beck will call Walter Flaherty at Verizon to report the damage.
The meeting was adjourned at 4:45 pm.
