Other Business Town of Nantucket Conservation Commission Town and County Building Nantucket, Massachusetts 02554 Public Hearing for Randolph Sharp Notice of Intent Date: August 25, 1983 Members present: P. Bennett, M. Arnold, C. Borchert, G. Burchell, A. Silva, P. Waine Members absent; C. Pearl Called to order: ~:44 PM (by the Chairman) Project Location; Polpis Road and old Polpis Road Type of Project: House and septic system to be constructed within 100 feet of a freshwater wetland Present for the owner: Michael Bachman Mr. Bachman explained the site to the Commission. that the proposed location of the house be staked out. house location would be staked out by Tuesday. Mr. and Mrs. Wylie Collins were present to discuss the question of whether access to their property would be effected by the proposed construction. Mr. Bachman replied their access might be temporarily but not permanently effected. The Commission, . M. Bachman agreed the A field inspection was scheduled. Town of Nantucket Conservation Commission Town and County Building Nantucket, Massachusetts 02554 Augus t 25, 1983 The regular meeting was called to order at 7:58 PM by the Chairman. Members present: M. Arnold, P. Bennett, C. Borchert, G. Burchell, A. Silva, P. Waine. Members absent: C. Pearl 1. P. Bennett moved to accept o voted. 2. Butnell Corporation - Notice of Intent. The field inspectior. report for the proposed.commerclal.bul Idlng to be constructed on Orange Street was read by the Chairman. It was moved to issue a standard Order with the additional clause: Lot lines on both sides to be fenced with snowfence and banks into . adjacent wetlands to be protected from filling and run-off by a line of hay bales or split rail with 2 inch wire mesh. The motion was seconded. So voted. 3. Cliff Road.property - The Chairman read the field inspection report for property located off Cliff road, owned by Mr. and Mrs. Colletti. A motion Was made and seconded to forward a letter to the Collettis requesting that the fill added to the wetlands on the site be removed and the site returne- to its original condition~ It was so v6ted. P. Waine was opposed to the ,motion. All others in favor. So moved. 4~ Marie Schneitzler - Turpentine eetl s and mosquitoes! The letter was rea- read by the Chanman. A motion was made and seconded to place the letter on fn e. 5, Mrs. Jarrell - Order of Conditions. The Chairman read a lettpr concerning a possible violation of the Wetlands Act in regards to construction on Surfside. A field inspection was scheduled, 6. Town of Nantucket - Order of Conditions SE48-197. The Chairman read the brder for the Surfside Sewer bed area. G. Burchell moved to forward a letter to the Board of Selectmen requesting that the disturbed area be revegetated as stated in the Order. P. Bennett seconded the motion. All in favor. 7. Bills. A motion was made and seconded to pay a bill of $25.44 from New c~ngland Telephone. All in favor. 8. Other Business. G. Burchell informed the Commission of a 8 by 22 float in the boatyard area. He stated the owners would appear before the Commission to discuss obtaining the necessary permits for the float. There being no other business, the meeting was adjourned at 8:30 PM.
