Current Budget Sheet Town of Nantucket Conservation Commission Town and County Building Nantucket, Massachusetts 02554 Minutes of October 3, 1985 The public hearings of October 3, 1985 began at 7:30 p.m. Members present were: M. Arnold, L. Leske, P. Dunwiddie, L.Dunn, P. Waine, and D. Visco. A. Public Hearings: 1. Sesachacha Pond - SE48-317. David Asherman from E.C. Jordan was present with Mr. Oliver of the DPW as ageRts for the applicant. The commission asked for evidence from the agents on the impact the pond opening would have on the wells in Quidnet and plans for a fisheries management for the pond. Mr. Oliver stated that he does not have the funds to go ahead with more studies that would enable him to answer these questions. L. Leske moved to continue the hearing. Dunn and Visco opposed the continuation. There being a tie vote the hearing was closed. 2. Miacomet Pond - SE48-313. The beach must be cut to get to the drainage pipe. There being no more information for the record P. Waine moved to close the hearing. So voted. 3. Hummock Pond - SE48-318. P. Dunnwiddie asked which roads were subject to flooding. The two roads of concearn are Millbrook and a paper road going to the Stark property. L. Leske moved to close the hearing. So voted. 4. Woodbury Realty Trust - SE48-312. The hearing was reopened under the local wetlands by-law and the Wetlands Protection Act. There being no new information for the record a motion to close the hearing was proposed. So voted. 5. Long Pond Realty Trust - SE48-321 and 323 thru 330. At the request of the applicant P. Waine moved to continue the hearing until October 17, 1985. So voted. 6. Martin Levine - A small addition on Smith's Point. The feeling of the commission is that this is not a significant project. P. Waine moved to continue the hearing for a DEQE file number. So voted. B. Regular Meeting: 1. The minutes of September 19 and September 26, 1985 were approved by unanimous vote. Squam Pond - SE48-314. The commission signed Orders of Conditions. c. Clark Cove SE48-316. The commission signed Orders of Conditions. 3. Requests for Determination: a. Robert Dorr - Grove Lane. The commission voted to issue a determ- ination stating that lot eight is subject to protection and lots four and five are not subject to protection under the act. b. Edward Sanford - Wauwinet. The commission voted to issue a determ- ination that the lot is subject to protection under the act. 4. Correspondence: a. Jeff Irion's letter of resignation from the commission was read. P. Waine moved to forward the letter to the Selectmen. b. NP & DC letters were given to the new representative, Donald Visco.
