The regular meeting of the Nantucket Conservation Co~nission was called to
order at 8:30 p.m. i1erlbers present "lere: n. Arnold, l. Leske, L. Dunn,
P. vJaine, P. Dunv!iddie, and !\. Silva. r1embers absent ,,,ere: C. Pearl.

The minutes were approveJ by unanimous vote.
L. Orjers of Conditions:
a. f"]orton 5E43-281 - The Commission voted to issue an Order of Condi-
tions with five special conditions;
1. no coastal engineering structure shall be permitteJ on an eroding
bank at any tlme in the future.
~. this orJer shall apply to a successor in interest or a successor
in control.
3. the final foundation plan shall he submitted for review befor
construction begins.
4. no future access along the fJorthern boundry of the lot shall be
allowed with the exception of the small foot path which now exists.
5. vegetation destroyed d'Jring the construction of the septic system
shall be restored.
b. v~heldon SEC,3-2S4 - The commissio:l voted to issue an Order of Condi-
tions with four special conditions:
I. A row of staked hay b2les along the 4 foot contour line shoHn on
the plan.
L. No constructioll equipment shall be allowed beyond said row of hay
bales.
3. This Order of Conditionsshall apply to any successor in interest
or successor in control.
A complete set of as built plans shall be submitteJ upon comple-
tion of this project.

3. Plannino Board Referral:
,
a. Tuckernuck - Harper, Howard & Hovlard - The Commission voted to write
a letter advising that any area within leO' of wetland is subject to a
[loti ce of Intent.
4. Requests for Determination
a. Lucy Eaton- The Commission voted that this area is subject to the
Wetlands Protection Act, and a Notice of Intent is required.
3. Correspondence:
a. Greatpoint Lighthouse - The federal government is exempt from the
Wetlands Protection Act when federal monies are used.
b. Perkins Jordan - The Chairman read a letter concearning the opening
of six salt ponds on ~antucket. The would like a copy of the Mass.
Wetlands Protection Act and twelve (Ii) blank Notice of Intent forms.
The committee would like the Chairman to write a letter in response
explaining "/hy they are not sending the acts.
c. The Chairman read a letter from Hatch's requesting a Certificate
of Compl iance. A field inspection "Ias scheduled for ['10nday April 29.
6. Other Business
a. The Chairman scheduled a field inspection for Robert [(aye on Top
Gal e Lane for i10njay Apri 1 29.
b. The Chairman scheduled a field inspection for William Gillon
tleadov!vie,'I and ~Jamasquid Place for ilonday Ji,pril 2.9.
c. The computer read-outs for March were given to P. Waine.
d. The Chairman informed the Committee that the J-::J or D-EJ Cat is at
the dump. The Commission owes $700 for bringing the CAT over.
