Town of Nantucket Conservation Commission Town and County Building Nantucket, Massachusetts 02554 March 21, 1985 The regular meeting of the Nantucket Conservation Commission was called to order at 7:53 p.m.All members were present. 1. Minutes of February 28, 1985: The minutes were approved by unanimous vote. 2. Orders of Conditions: a. Cuddy and Mezias Trust - SE-48-280 Mr. Pearl moved to issue an Order of Condition for this project with a clause prtecting the dune near the project site. So voted. b. Chapman - SE-48-283 ~ Ms. Leske / Apthorp moved to issue an Order of Conditions with an additional prohibiting any further addition to the structure. So voted. 3. Correspondence: 1. The chairman read a letter from the Forest Service offering pine beetle resistant trees to the Commission for the Warren's Landing Site. 2. The Chairman read a letter from the New Smith's Point Association requesting signs and further restoration work at the spoils disposition site. It was voted to view the area and check the orders given on this proj ect. 4. Other Business: a. Mr. and Mrs. John Austen spoke of their concern over the continuing delay over the Planning Boards final decision on the Cranberry Construction Companys proposed project on West Chester Street. A discussion and explanation session followed. Members of the Commission explained that when the proper time came the Commission would take appropriate action. b. The Chairman introduced Holly Walker, our new slave, to the Commission and welcomed her aboard. c. The Chairman introduced Peter Dunwiddle to the Commission. Mr. Dun- widdle will replace Mr. Borchert when the Selectmen send the proper letter to the Town Clerk. Mr. Pearl suggested that the Chairman send a letter of appreciation to Mr. Borchert. Mr. Silva reported that the fencing around the entrance to the Consue Springs area needs repair. Mr. Pearl moved to repair the fence. So voted. e. The meeting was adjourned at 8:30 p.m.
