Other Business Town of Nantucket Conservation Commission Town and County Building Nantucket, Massachusetts 02554 February 28, 1985 The regular meeting of the Nantucket Conservation Commission was called to order at 7:50 p.m. Members present were: M. Arnold, L. Leske, C. Borchert, L. Dunn. Members absent were: P. Waine, C. Pearl, A. Silva. 1. Requests for Determinations: a. Empey Construction - The Commission voted to issue a Negative Determ- ination for this project which involves the removal of a building built on top of a salt marsh. The pilings remaing must be removed by hand and no building will be allowed on this site in the future. 2. Minutes of January 31, 198~ The minutes were approved by unanimous vote. 3. Planning Board Referral: a. Pine Valley Trust - The Commission voted to advise the Planning Board that this project is not subject to the Wetlands Protection Act. 4. Request for Determination: (cont.) a. Sziklas - The Commission voted to issue a negative determination for this project which involves an addition to cover an existing foundation. 5. Gaillard Property Aquisition: The Committee voted to exercise its option to purchase lot 2 of Mrs. Gaillards property for $20,000. The chairman will write to Mrs. Gaillard and to Town Counsel to initiate the process. 6. Extension Permit: a. Cioffi - SE 48-215 - The Commission voted to extend this Order for a period of three years. 7. Other Business: a. The Commission discussed the Warren's Landing project. There's a chance the State can get a chopper down to the site to chop up the logs. Chief Watts is working on this part of the project. b. The Commission voted to cancel the March 14, 1985 meeting and reschedule it for March 21, 1985. There being no further business the meeting was adjourned at 8:30 p.m.
