January 31, 1985
The regular meeting of the Nantucket Conservation Commission was called
to order at 8:19 p.m. Members present were: M. Arnold, L. Leske, C. Borchert
L. Dunn. Members absent were: P. Waine, C. Pearl, A. Silva.
1. Minutes of January 17, 1985;
The Minutes were approved by unanimous vote.
2. Orders of Conditions:
a. Sherburne Associates - SE48-277- It was voted to issue an Order
of Conditions for this project with the following Special Conditions;
1. That no additions be allowed on the pond site for
units 7, 8, and 9.
2. That gutter systems on units 7, 8, and 9 be installed
so that they drain toward road and away from pond.
3. That hay bale fence be erected before excavation begins.
b. Moores - SE48-276- After considerable discussion, the Commission
unanimously voted to issue an Order of Conditions for this project
with the following special conditions:
1. That the house size be limited to 2 bedrooms.
2. That "as built" plans be submitted after the
project is completed.
3. Planning Board Referrals:
a. Coffin Commercial Development - The Commission voted to advise
the Planning Board that this project is not subject to the Wetlands
Protection Act.
4. Other Business:
a. L. Dunn was appointed to the Pond Opening Committee.
b. Chairman Arnold reported on a meeting about Mosquito Control.
c. The Commission voted to cancel the February 14, 1985 meeting.
d. The Commission voted to require ground water tests during the wet
time of the year. This time was set as March 15 to May 1 and it was
voted to advertise this new policy every week until the 28 of Feb, 1985
