January 17, 1985
The regular meeting of the Nantucket Conservation Commission was called
to order at 8:18 p.m. by the Chairman. Members present were: M. Arnold,
C. Borchert, L. Leske, L. Dunn, A. Silva, C. Pearl. Members absent:
P. Waine.
1. Determination:
a. Fraker - The Commission voted to issue a negative determination for
this proj ect.
2. Minutes of January 10, 1985:
The Commission voted to accept the minutes of January 10, 1985 as
written.
3. Order of Conditions
A. England - SE-48-275: The Commission voted to issue an Order of Con-
ditions with Special Condition covering to following areas:
1. Plan "c" be followed as designed
2. Foundation on pilings
3. First floor elevations be in accordance
with the latest Flood Control Maps
4. No coastal structures statement
5. Roof gutter plan directing water into
catch basin in parking lot.
B. LaFrance-SE-48-274: The Commission voted to issue a Standard Order
of Conditions for this project.
4. Determination:
Wheldon - The Commission voted to issue a positive determination
showing the areas subject on an accompanying map.
5. Extension Permit:
A. Comer - The Commission voted to extend this Order of Conditions until
July 23, 1985. The Commission voted to inform the applicant that
on that date a new Notice of INtent must be filed for review by the
Commission.

6. Correspondence:
a. The Commission voted to answer a letter from the Conservation
Law Foundation with a check for twenty-five dollars enrolling the Com-
mission in that organization for another year.
7. Other Business:
a. The_Chairman stated that the Coffin Bill must be lowered to
$3998. So voted.
b. The Commission voted to accept three articles for Town Warrent
covering general fund transfers, 5000 more for the Warren's Landing
project, and 20000 more for the land Acquisition fund.
c. The Commission discussed perculation tests during the wet season.
More study seemed needed before a policy could be set.
The meeting was adjourned at 9:04 p.m.
