Bills to be signed Town of Nantucket Conservation Commission Town and County Building Nantucket, Massachusetts 02554 Minutes of June 5~ 1986 The public hearings of June 5~ 1986 were called to order at 7:30 p.m. Members present were: M. Arnold~ L. Leske~ P. Dunwiddie~ P. Waine, L. Dunn, D. Visco, and M.J. Williams A. Public Hearings 1. Leonard Sherman - SE48-335, Squam Road. John Shugrue was present as the agent and requested the hearing be continued for more definative plans and to schedule a field inspection. So voted. 2. Patricia English - SE48-356, 158 Orange Street. Paul Waine moved to close the hearing. So voted. 3. Joseph Burrows - SE48-357 - 156 Orange Street. Paul Waine moved to close the hearing. So voted. 4. Juliet Perkins - SE48-358. Lee Dunn moved to close the hearing. So voted. B. Regular Meeting 1. The minutes of May 22, 1986 were approved. 2. Requests for Determination a. John A. Hussey - 86 Union Street. L. Leske moved to issue a negative determination stating that the work described in the request is within a Buffer Zone, but will not alter an Area Subject to Protection under the Act. Therefore, said work does not require the filing of a Notice of Intent. The commission asked the applicant to keep all debris and fill cleaned up around the outside of the project and to use hay bales around the perimiter of construction. So voted. 3. Orders of Conditions 1. Patricia English - SE48-356. The commission voted to issue Orders of Conditions adding the no coastal reventment clause. Lee Dunn abstained from voting. So voted. The commission voted to issue Orders of Conditions adding the no coastal reventment clause. Lee Dunn abstained from voting. So voted. 3. Juliet Perkins - SE48-358. Lee Dunn moved to issue standard Orders of Conditions. So voted. 4. Planning Board Referrals a. Chambiss & Nevius - Eel Point Road. Lee Dunn moved to advise the Planning Board that both lots are subject to protection under the Wetlands Protection Act. So voted. 5. Other Business a. Robert Elliott - The chairman read letters submitted to the Commission from Carl Borchert~Nantucket's Building Inspector and Mr. Murray Freedman~ Mr. Elliotts neighbor regarding the construction of the retainment wall. Lee Dunn moved to issue an enforcement order requiring Mr. Elliott to submit engineered plans of the structure by June 19, 1986. So voted. b. Gary Winn - Mr. Winn requested that the commission allow him to install a submersible pump well as opposed to a point driven well on his property located at 39 Millbrook Road SE48-272. P. Waine moved to allow the installation of a submersible pump without filing a new Notice of Intent as the property is dry at this time. So voted. c. Marie Shneitzler - Requested that the commission send a letter to the Nantucket Historic District Commission stating that snow fencing or hay bales may be used on her property for erosion control without filing a Notice of Intent. The Commission voted to have the Chairman send such a letter. 6. Correspondence - All correspondence on the Agenda from June 5, 1986 was read. There being no further business the meeting was adjourned at 9:00 p.m.
