Warren's Landing -....., Town of Nantucket Conservation Commission Town and County Building Nantucket, Massachusetts 02554 Minutes of March 27, 1986 The public hearings of March 27, 1986 were called to order at 7:30 p.m. Members present were: M. Arnold, L. Leske, P. Dunwiddie, M.J. Williams, P. Waine and D. Visco. Members absent were: L. Dunn. A. Public Hearings 1. Leonard Sherman - SE48-335. At the request of the applicant the hearing was continued. 2. Harborside Realty Trust - At the request of the applicant the hearing was continued. 3. Earle M. Craig, Jr. - Kimball Ave. P. Dunwiddie moved to continue the hearing as the applicants agent Mr. Sherburne will be bringing in new plans for a smaller temporary structure to be located closer to the beach. So voted. B. Regular Meeting 1. The minutes of March 20, 1986 were approved with the correction of spelling of Mr. Kotalac's name. 2. Requests for Determination a. Christopher Maury - Wamasquid Place. The commission asked to have the applicant complete his application befor any decision is to be made. b. Gerald Buzanoski - L. Leske moved to issue a positive determination. So voted. c. Design Associates - Hallowell Lane.The Commission voted to issue a positive determination and scheduled a field inspection for April 7th to view the site for a Notice of Intent. 3. Field Inspections were scheduled for Monday April 7, 1986 for: (a) Elizabeth Glendinning (b) Rick Kotalac (c) Ken Cross & Joan Barr (d) Design Associates 4. Extention Permits a. Stephen Lindsay - SE48-225. The commission voted to issue an extention for three years. Town of Nantucket Conservation Commission Town and County Building Nantucket, Massachusetts 02554 5. Audience to Press in Public a. Mark Arnold spoke to the other members of the Commission for Mr. Foley Vaughn who is representing the Town of Nantucket on the Pond Opening case. Mr. Vaughn asked to have the appeal process stopped and have the Public Hearing process for the openings begun again with new filings. The consensus of the Commission was to let the appeal process run its course, letting DEQE make its decision first before beginning new hearings. 6. Correspondence a. Christopher Holland - The chairman read a letter regarding Orders of Conditions on Mr. Shapiro SE48-239, Tristrams Avenue. Mr. Shapiro would like to move his house further away from the dunes and the bluff without filing a Notice of Intent. The Commission voted to allow this move without a refiling. 7. Other Business a. Warren's Landing - Donald Visco has contacted a Mr. Larry Need who is working on the island at Austin Farm. Mr. Need has volunteered machinery and time to help clear the site at Warren's Landing. It was suggested that maybe other members of the community would also be willing to volunteer their machinery and time. There being no further business the meeting was adjourned at 9:15 p.m.
