Minutes of January 30, 1986
The public hearings of January 30, 1986 were called to order at 7:30 p.m.
Members present were: M. Arnold, L. Leske, L. Dunn and M.J. Williams.
Members absent were: D. Visco, P. Waine and P. Dunwiddie.
A. Public Hearings:
1. Leonard Sherman - SE48-335 - Squam Road. L. Leske moved to continue
the hearing for a more definative plan. So voted.
2. Harborside Realty Trust - L. Beske moved to continue the hearing as
no file number has been issued by DEQE.
3. Robert McGrath - The project calls for a total of 313 square feet to
be filled in a finger like configuration. This is the only access to
an upland area. Small leaching catch basins will be used for drainage.
The commission would like to see the area along the shoulders seeded
with rye so that natural vegetation can take over. The hearing was
continued for a file number to be issued from DEQE.
4. Robert Hamilton - SE48-444 - Madaket Road. The field inspection
report was read. The consensus ~! the Commission was that with a fence
to mark off wetland areas during construction the project should be
approved. L. Dunn moved to close the hearing. So voted.
B. Regular Meeting:
1. The minutes of January 16, 1986 were approved.
2. Planning Board Referral:
a. Martin - Hawks Circle. The Commission voted to send a letter to the
Planning Board stating that the area is not subject to protection
under the Act.
3: Orders of Conditions:
a. Robert Hamilton - SE48-444. The Commission voted to issue standard
Orders of Conditions and to mark two areas of significance: Private
water supply and ground water supply.

4. Correspondence:
a. Carter Cafritz - SE48-343. Submitted archetectural drawings were
reviewed and added to the file.
b. Lars Soderberg - Waterways Licence Application was added to the file.
c. Conservation Law Foundation letter was read.
d. Board of Appeals Notice regarding Weinman was read.
e. Cape Cod Coalition letter asking for a donation of $15.00 to renew
membership was read and the Commission voted to renew.
f. The Chairman read a letter from the 5 CIS regarding recommendations
to DEQE for better protection of wetlands and model forms for
inter-departmental advise.
5. Other Business:
1. Cranberrry Construction - Leo Asadorian appeared befor the Commission
to ask their opinion on the placement of a driveway for a project
located on W. Chester Street. As the plans show now a total of 4700
sq. ft. of fill will be used and 4800 sq. ft. will be replicated.
The commission restated that they thin~ one drive way that loops
around the left side would be less detrimental to the wetland than a
number of driveways. The commission asked Mr. Asadorian to have
David Haines address the issues of segmentation and replication.
There being no further business the meeting was adjourned at 8:40 p.m.
