BOARD OF SELECTMEN/AIRPORT COMMISSION MEETING
September 5, 1990
At approximately 8: 15 pm, the Airport Commission presented the
Board of Selectmen an updated summary on the aviation fuel transfer
project, seeking to obtain either assistance for locating a new
site, or, making the Washington Street Extension pipeline area a
permanent site.
The Selectmen's recommendations were as follows:
1. confer with Town Counsel for a determination on the
necessity of this matter being presented at the next Town
Meeting;
2. ascertain reason for delay in filing the required FEIR
and the requirements needed for a final approval;
3. reschedule another meeting with the Board of Selectmen,
in two (2) weeks for a report on items 1 and 2;
4. the Board of Selectmen will ask the NP & EDC, as a
primary concern, to make a study of the Island-wide
problem of obtaining and storing fuel, and to recommend
a solution.
The Airport Commission's portion on this Agenda was closed at 9:15
pm.
