TTllN rOMMITTEE MIN'tm: TUESDA Y- NOVEMBER 12, 2002 A meeting of the Community Preservation Committee, CPC, was held on Tuesday, November 12, 2002 at 12:00 noon at the Nantucket Land Bank 22 Broad Street, Nantucket, MA. Present were: Barry Rector, Chair, Pat Butler, Vice Chair, Ken Beaugrand, Rich Brannigan, Polly Miller, Frank Spriggs, Ginger Andrews, and Alice McWade, Administrative Assistant. A quorum was established and the meeting was called to order at 12:06 PM. The agenda was approved. PUBLIC COMMENT No Comments were raised at this time. DISCUSSION OF APPLICATIONS It was agreed that each request for funding in FY04 would be considered individually. Today the Committee will vote on whether an application is to be removed or merits further consideration. Camp Richard Camper Association: Upon a motion duly made and seconded it was VOTED (5-2) to remove this application from further consideration. Nantucket Board of Selectmen One Big Beach, Once and for All: Upon a motion duly made and seconded it was VOTED (6-0-1, Frank Spriggs abstaining) to schedule this application for further consideration. Nantucket Land Council, Inc. Conservation Restriction - Bartlett's Farm: Upon a motion duly made and seconded it was VOTED (5-2) to schedule this application for further consideration. Nantucket Parks & Recreation Commission Coffin Park: Upon a motion duly made and seconded it was unanimously VOTED (7-0) to schedule this application for further consideration. Nantucket Parks & Recreation Cpmmission Winter Park: Upon a motion duly made and seconded it was VOTED (6-1) to schedule this application for further consideration. Habitat for Humanity Nantucket, Inc: Upon a motion duly made and seconded it was unanimously VOTED (7-0) to schedule this application for further consideration. Community Preservation Committee; Administrative Secretary, Office Supplies, Travel Expenses, Consultant Fees: Upon a motion made by Ms. Butler and seconded by Ms. Miller, it was unanimously VOTED (7-0)" to schedule this for further consideration." OLD BUSINESS A brief discussion ensued relative to the total of the requests still being considered for FY04 funding and the actual revenue available for disbursement. It was noted that the requests exceed available revenue by $1,612,160. NEW BUSINESS A brief discussion ensued relative to the November 29, 2002 deadline for filing the Warrant Article and the need to obtain at least 20 signatures on the petition. ADJOURNMENT Upon a motion made by Mr. Brannigan and seconded by Mr. Spriggs, it was VOTED to adjourn this meeting for the day. The next meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, November 19, 2002 at 2:30 pm at the Land Bank. The meeting adjourned at 3: 15 pm.
