HomeMy WebLinkAbout2003-09-16 ~ Nantucket Community Preservation Committee Meeting Minutes, September 16,2003 (with corrections) The Nantucket Community Preservation Committee met on Tuesday, September 16,2003, at 3:00PM at the Nantucket Land Bank Meeting Room, 22 Broad Street. Present were Frank Spriggs, Rich Brannigan, Alan Brown, Barry Rector, Vice-chair Ken Beaugrand, Polly Miller, Neville Richen and Chair Patricia Butler, who acted as recording secretary. I. There was a call to order and establishment of a quorum. II. A motion was made to approve the agenda, so moved. III. A motion was made to approve the minutes of August 19,2003, so moved. IV. Positive public comment was received from Mary Ann Worth regarding the August Public Forum. V. The following requests for funds were approved: Nantucket Housing Office, July-August Funding $29,269.10 Nantucket Housing Office: House Relocation Program $242,351.55 Nantucket Human Services Center, project start-up, RFP $3,189.80 Following discussion, a motion was made to approve each request, so ~oved, with Barry Rector abstaining from discussion and vote regarding the Nantucket Human Services Center. VI. New Business The committee discussed meeting dates for review of FY 2005 Applications (see attached list). Keys to the CPC office were made available, so that members could use the space for reviewing applications. A motion was made, so voted, to authorize funding for Barry Rector to represent the Nantucket CPC at the CPC and Affordable Housing Conference in Boston on September 25 and at the Community Preservation Alliance in New Bedford on October 18, 2003. VII. Old Business: The CPC welcomed Alan Brown as the Nantucket 1 Housing Authority's representative. A motion was made, so moved to enter into an Executive Session A motion was made, so moved to adjourn the Executive Session. A motion was made and seconded to purchase a tape recorder. A motion was made and seconded to invite Finance Director Connie V oiges to a CPC meeting. A motion was made, so voted, to adjourn the meeting at 4:55PM.
