Edie Ray sent a message that she was unavoidably detained on Coatue. Mr. Dickson was off island. Therefore, the minutes of May 18, including corrections from Mrs. Ray, will be held over until June 1 for approval. Mrs. Beck announced that Chief Pitrnann will be at the June 1 meeting for discussions, that weekly meetings ofBMAC are posted and reserved until the end ofthis year, that she will be away for the June 8 meeting and hopes notes will be taken for the record. She has thanked. Mr. Matt Liddle and his class for implanting the grass plugs at Nobadeer bluff On June 3 the High School Surfing Club is planning its major clean up of South Shore Beaches. Mr. Carlson has installed a protective fence and walkway for the new grass planted at Nobadeer bluff, handled some issues with unleashed dogs at Low Beach, and with Environmental Officer Belanger's help warned Sheep's Pond residents against installing artificial deterrents to beach erosion on their property. He is establishing procedures for monitoring 40th Pole Beach and Smith's Point. He reports one pair of plovers and their chick at Jetties Beach and three pairs of plovers at Smith's Point. He will bring the number of beach driving stickers sold to date to the June 1 meeting. Mr. Leddy reported that personal ATV's are driving late at night on the beaches and roads with full floodlights on. Mrs. Beck asked for comments and approval of the drafts of the revised Mission Statement and the accompanying letter to the Board of Selectmen. Both Mr. Leddy and Mr. Carlson approved the drafts as had Mrs. Ray and Mr. Dickson earlier in the week. Mrs. Beck intends to submit them to the BOS with recent minutes of the meetings by June. 2.
