Beach Management Advisory Committee

Members present: Maureen Beck, Chair, Colin Leddy, John Johnson
The meeting convened at 4:07 p.m. The Minutes of 14 September 2006 were approved.
Because of the absence ofthe Beach Manager no report was given.
Mrs. Beck reported that there would be no study of commercial uses on private property
to which the Town was granted easements until the BOS formally moved to request it.
Later Mrs. Beck was informed that BOS had so moved on 9/20.
The remainder of the meeting focused on the Beach Driving Map, and various
suggestions were offered for changes in text and design. A new photo for the brochure is
needed. Is it Mr. Carlson or Mrs. Ray who will supply it?
Mrs. Beck asked for comments on Mr. Goodman's remarks in the I&M 9/21 on beach
trash. None forthcoming.
Mrs. Beck has yet to write for BMAC budget figures to ChiefPittrnan and Mr. Fronzuto.
Mr. Quigley is working on the letter requested by the BOS regarding easement
properties.
The Party Map is due at the next meeting, September 28, 2006, after which BMAC will
adjourn until 26 October.
The meeting was adjourned at 4:55 p.m.

Mrs. Beck will invite the Chief of Police and the Harbormaster to visit at the first
meetings in November. The Chiefhas suggested that stickers be sold on the Internet and
may support raising the fee for them to $100 with no discounts.
