installation has been completed in many of the
project areas and construction crews have been
working to install sewer service stubs from the
new mainline sewer to the edge of the roadway.
Once all the sewer service stubs in a project
area are installed and testing is complete, the
town will approve portions of the project for use
and notify residents. Once notified, residents are
encouraged to refer to the Homeowner Sewer
Connection Process flowchart (accessed using
the link provided above under the Important
Documents section) for information on
connecting their building(s) to the sewer service
stubs.
Three streets in the project area are nearly ready
for use (Green Meadows, Tashama Ln. and
MacLean Ln.) and notices will be sent to these
residents soon. The remainder of the streets in
the project area will not be ready for connection
until this coming fall/winter.
As of June 22, 2018, sewer construction and
surface restoration of the roadways will cease for
a summer hiatus to mitigate impacts to residents
and visitors during the peak season. Limited
work on the pump station sites (on Wamasquid
Place and Monomoy Road at the Brewster
intersection) may continue during the summer
hiatus. The pump station work will be confined
to the sites and will not impact roadways or
neighborhoods.
On or around September 17, 2018, construction
will again commence. The remainder of sewer
construction and final surface restoration will
continue until completed by mid-January 2019.
When construction commences in the fall, the
project website will be updated regularly with
approximate crew locations and anticipated
progress of work.
