APPROVAL OF AGENDA

APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Draft minutes of Feb. 15, 2022
Mr. Brace reported that he hadn't completed this set of minutes.
The HSAB agreed to vote on the draft Feb. 15, 2022 HSAB
minutes at its March 15, 2022 meeting.
CHAIRMAN'S REPORT
No report.
MARINE DEPARTMENT REPORT:
General Marine Department report— Sheila Lucey
No Report.
Mr. Brace stressed the need for Ms. Lucey to attend a near-future
HSAB meeting so the board could be updated on the condition of
the Town Pier. Mr. Bossi said he wanted an update on the new
Marine Department building.
Mr. Szydlowski said he would reach out to Ms. Lucey.

Fertilizer-ban articles — Discussion
Mr. Brace said he would research the status of these articles and
then get back to the HSAB at a future meeting.
HEALTH OF THE HARBORS
Excessive lawn fertilizer use: Update —Discussion — New
information
Mr. Szydlowski suggested that the board issue a comment on the
proposed fertilizer articles on this year's warrant. Ms. Andrews
suggested that members of the HSAB attend Candidates Night so
member can ask Planning Board candidates how they may vote on
fertilizer related issues coming before the Nantucket Planning &
Economic Development Commission.
FDA shellfish taking prohibition in mooring fields

Coastal Resilience Advisory Committee—Update
Mr. Brace reported on the Design Thinking workshop organized by
Town Administration for March 7/8.
Mr. Szydlowski suggested that the Coastal Resilience Advisory
Committee (CRAC) present the Coastal Resilience Plan to the
Nantucket Civic League. Mr. Brace said he would raise this idea at
the next CRAC meeting.
PUBLIC QUESTIONS AND COMMENT
Ms. Denette introduced herself and explained what she is doing for
the Nantucket Shellfish Association.
