Property Owner/Applicant Representing: UNION LODGE/ SHERRI RAMOS, SIGN HERE NANTUCKET
Address of Proposed Sign: 30A MAIN ST
Name on sign: COE + CO
Type of sign (wall, projecting, free standing, other): WALL
Location of sign (entrance, rear, side, other): ENTRANCE
General Comments/Recommendations:
REPRESENTING- Sherri Ramos, Sign Here Nantucket. Has a projecting sign previously approved at a different
location. Applying for wall sign. Wall sign to be centered on windows to the left of the front door.
Young- previous approval was on Center Street. Combination of wall and projecting signs limits the size.Typically
the projecting sign gets smaller. Limit is 5 s f without being in combination. Should be smaller. Proposed wall sign
is smaller than it could be. Masons should submit a master sign plan.Wall sign should be appropriate, need more
info and applicaiton for projecting sign.
Kuester-should have a master sign plan. Questioned block letters. Window decals not appropriate
Cutone- not much concern. Looks like there are 3 tenants in bldg. Picture is not current
Wolf- will need a master sign plan
Normand-agrees with Cutone. Appropriate in design, agrees with size, needs master sign plan- incomplete
application, picture does not indicate placement. Need more information.
Motion to Hold for Revisions, a master sign plan and accurate photographs made by Kuester; seconded by Wolf

Address of Proposed Sign: 29 CENTER ST
Name on sign: FARAWAY
Type of sign (wall, projecting, free standing, other): LETTER SIGN
Location of sign (entrance, rear, side, other): ENTRANCE- ON SECOND STORY FACADE
General Comments/Recommendations:
REPRESENTING- Brad Guidi, Blue Flag Development;- like to keep font, precedent set- not a serif font.
Removed hanging sign and increased size, asking to use primary font for branding purposes. Changed to wood
letters. If put lettering at entrance, too small. Inquired about suggestion on lighting. Suggested a quarter board-
there is precedent. Proposed font is not objectionable. This building is Main entrance to hotel.
Cutone- inquired size of letters and lightning. Window space 2nd floor creates a natural gap. Would like to see
lighting proposed. Second floor signage not inappropriate. No issue with font if using "board" sign.
Wolf-agrees with Cutone
Normand-existing situations- not familiar with applied lettering, asked for photos. Quarter board unusual. "R" is
funky. If using wall sign, should match other buildings.
Kuester-opposed to individual cut out letters, quarter board more appropriate.
Young- quarter board more appropriate and approvable in this location. "R" is unique. Font questioned at the
time in context with flag sign. Opinion of proposed font on quarter board or wall sign which would incorporate
existing font.Similar to what has been recently approved on other applications.
Wolf- no concerns
Kuester- R is problematic.
Motion to Hold for Revisions made by Normand; seconded by Kuester

Address of Proposed Sign: 11 INDIA ST
Name on sign: FARAWAY NANTUCKET
Type of sign (wall, projecting, free standing, other): PROJECTING SIGN
Location of sign (entrance, rear, side, other): OTHER
General Comments/Recommendations:
REPRESENTING- Brad Guidi, Blue Flag Development-Wants to reuse the existing Roberts house circular
sign branded with their logo Faraway is entire campus. Using existing bracket, explained use of sign.
Young- size exceeds sign restriction. 26 in diameter appropriate.
Wolf- questioned intent of sign- not appropriate.
Normand- Roberts house sign was too big. Likes everything about the sign, don't need Nantucket on
sign unless part of name.
Cutone- no concerns with name and Nantucket-just a size reduction.
Kuester- placement questionable. Previous sign increased without approval. Questioned thickness-
should be increased.
Motion to Approve at 26 inches diameter and 1 % in thick made by Norman; seconded by Cutone
