MINUTES
Tuesday September 29, 2020
This meeting was held via remote participation(using ZOOM recording
feature)Pursuant to Governor Baker's March 12, 2020 Order Regarding dr
Open Meeting Law.
I. Procedural Business
Call to order: This meeting was conducted via Zoom and called to order by Chris Young,
Chairman, at 9:00 am. This meeting was recorded on Zoom video.
Attending members: Chris Young (Chair), Paul Wolf, Mark Cutone, Ben Normand and
Kevin Kuester
Staff in attendance: Cathy Flynn,Land Use Specialist
Absent members: None
Late arrivals: None
Early Departures: None
Motion to Adopt Agenda made by Paul Wolf; Seconded by Mark Cutone.

II. Public Comment- None
III. New Business
1. Nant Basket Museum 49 Union Street Move existing sign 55.1.4/31 Karen Butler
Representing-Karen Butler,Nantucket Lightship Basket Museum.Revised application moves the
quarter board to the center of the building façade facing Francis Street and move the smaller sign to the
side entrance door. Included the flag pole sign.
Kuester-Prefers the quarter board to stay on the Union Street side. Encouraged applicant to
withdraw. Flag is not similar to the other signs.
Young-Likes what has been proposed. The flag sign is not appropriate.
Wolf-Likes what is proposed minus the flag.
Cutone-Agrees with what has been said
Staff-Will update the application to reflect moving both existing signs.
Motion to Approve as submitted limiting it to the two signs being relocated;made by Wolff
Seconded by Cutone.

1. Enforcement—
Sent a Courtesy Notice to the Owner of Ezia Fitness on Orange Street.
New development free standing sign on Cliff Road. There is a stone sign right off the road-
Hawthorne Park.
