Procedural Business Call to order: This meeting was conducted via Zoom and called to order by Chris Young, Chairman, at 9:00 am. This meeting was recorded on Zoom video. Attending members: Kevin Kuester, Chris Young, Paul Wolf, Mark Cutone Absent members: Ben Normand Late arrivals: None Early Departures: None Motion to Adopt Agenda made by Paul Wolf; Seconded by Mark Cutone. Roll Call vote carried unanimously 4-0//Wolf, Kuester, Cutone and Young- aye. Approval of Minutes: N/A II. Public Comment- none III. New Business 1.NIR Straight Wharf Projecting Sign- Respoke 42.2.4-1 Chris Bartick Representing- Young- sign is compliant in size. Kuester- concerned the colors are too bright Cutone- no concerns Wolf- thinks colors are too bright Young- asked if there was another sign application. recommendation that it is approvable with more muted colors. Motion to Hold for Revisions with more muted colors made by Wolf; seconded by Cutone. Carried 4-0//Kuester,Wolf, Cutone and Young- aye Page 1 of 3 Minutes July 14, 2020, adopted July 21, 2020 • 2.David Webster Trust 11 S,,Shore Road Fence sign 67-468.1 Chip Webster Representing.- Gliip ebster;would like to move existing sign at Amelia Dr to 11 S Shore Road, proposing one section of fence, set off from the road. could add one or two more sections Young- proposal similar to•Sherburne Commons. 6 sq feet meets the guidelines. Kuester- not appropriate. trying not to be a freestanding sign when it really is. Sign too big for rural area. The sign book illustrates more of a quarter board on split rail fence. Cutone- asked for size comparison. Requested to see the anchoring. Prefers fixed. Fence should speak to the entry. } Wolf- asked if visual connection between sign and building. Read sign guideline on split rail fence Motion to Hold for Revisions to include additional sections of split rail, minimum of three sections and sections to the right and the size of the sign should comply with the guidelines made by Cutone; seconded by Wolf Carried 4-0//Kuester,Wolf, Cutone and Young- aye 3.NIR 2 Harbor Square Wall Sign- Dawn 42.2.4-1 Allison Deck Representing- Sherri Ramos, Sign Here Nantucket; does not know if there is another business in the building. Kuester- think there should be a Master Sign Plan. wants to know what size sign is on other side. Picture does not show entire building. Okay with size of sign. Cutone- no concerns. If it is multi-tenant, need a master sign plan. NIR has presented them in the past Wolf- no concerns. Young- asked if the applied decals were going to be removed. If stay, need to apply for a second sign. The size of the sign a concern. Motion to Hold for more information and revisions and possibly a Master Sign Plan made by Cutone; seconded by Wolf. Francis Farrell 5 India Street Projecting Sign 42.3.1-226 Josh Moore Representing-Josh Moore and Odini Gogo Kuester- asked about size of this sign Cutone- agrees with size of sign Wolf- more appropriate Young- suggests revision to other sign to mimic the projecting sign. Francis Farrell 5 India Street Wall Sign 42.3.1-226 Representing-Josh Moore and Odini Gogo; owner of RES IPSA Kuester- suggest making it more horizontal.Would like to see in relation to the projecting sign. Cutone- agrees with what has been said. Wolf-agrees with Kuester. Young-wanted to know how it fit in the area above the door. Motion to Hold for Revisions made by Kuester; seconded by Cutone.
