Article 28: Amend Zoning Bylaw sections 139-9 to add a new use chart and delete section 139-10 in its entirety,
amend Zoning Bylaw section 139-2 to add new definitions, amend Zoning Bylaw section 139-7F(8)(d)(1) to
delete references to section 139-10, amend Zoning Bylaw section 139-8 to reference new commercial zoning
districts and to delete subsection B(1);

transfer station addition to the Bylaw. Steven Cohen expressed that a transfer station is a good use to have.

Article 29: Amend Zoning Bylaw section 139-16A to modify and reorganize the intensity regulations chart,
amend Zoning Bylaw section 139-16C to include additional special permit relief, amend Zoning Bylaw section
139-3 to modify and reorganize the chart enumerating the districts;

about sewage issues. Brian Chadwick (Board of Selectmen) briefly discussed the commercial industrial zoning and said

properties located in the vicinity of the Nantucket Memorial Airport that are currently in the Town Overlay
District in the Country Overlay District and to place properties that are currently located in the Country
Overlay District in the Town Overlay District;

Jim Lentowski (speaking as an abutter) expressed concern of proposal being a high intensity use and that heavy
commercial use might be an issue in that area. Mr. Vorce stated that there will be no access from Surfside Road. Mrs.
Howard opposed to more uses on Surfside Drive due to traffic issues.

Sarah Oktay, Dave Fronzuto, Melanie Kotolac and Gary Winn all expressed concern with this article. Rhoda Weinman
representing Rick Kotolac stated that her client would like his particular property excluded from this article and Mrs.
Weinman stated that she believes that if Mr. Kotolac’s property is included she believes that this will be a taking. Doug
Smith requested that the waterfront be protected. Leslie Johnson stated that the existing harbor needed to be protected.
Steven Cohen stated that the article had some technical wordings that needed to be reviewed.
A motion was made to keep the public hearing open and continue this article to February 25, 2008, duly seconded and
voted 4-0 in favor.
Article 50: Zoning Map change to establish a Harbor Overlay District in the vicinity of Nantucket Harbor and
to designate the specific parcels to be included;
