MINUTES
“SPECIAL” MEETING
NANTUCKET PLANNING AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COMMISSION
6:00 PM, MONDAY, JANUARY 10, 2011
2 FAIRGROUNDS ROAD
7 Members Present: Andrew Bennett, Brian Chadwick, Jack Gardner,
Sylvia Howard, Nat Lowell, Barry Rector, Linda Williams
Members Absent: Rick Atherton, Bert Johnson, John McLaughlin, Don Visco,
Jeff Willett
Staff Present: Andrew Vorce, T.Michael Burns, Jeromette Hicks
Audience Present: None
I. Call to Order Chairman Lowell called the meeting to order @ 6:00PM
II. Establishment of Quorum The Chairman declared a quorum present.
III. Approval of Agenda
The motion was made by Linda Williams and seconded that the
NP&EDC does hereby vote to approve the agenda for Jan. 10, 2011.
The vote was unanimous.
IV. Public Comment - None
V. Action / Discussion Items
A. Action / Discussion: Acceptance of the Intersection Study of Surfside
Road and Bartlett Road from GPI (Greenman-Pedersen, Inc.
Consultants
There was a brief discussion on the
interim recommendation of the all-way stop
and long-term of the mini-round about.
The study was reviewed by Traffic Safety and they recommended the
all-way stop to the BOS.

The motion was made by Linda Williams and seconded that the
NP&EDC does hereby vote to accept the Surfside and Bartlett Road
Intersection Study by GPI Consultants.
The vote was unanimous.
B. Action: Regional Transportation Plan Public Review
The motion was made by Linda Williams and seconded that the NP&EDC does
hereby vote to approve the Regional Transportation Plan Public Review
Period to begin Jan. 10, 2011 and end with a vote at the March 28, 2011
NP&EDC Meeting, with an interim Public Review Meeting TBD.
The vote was unanimous.
VI. Other Business - None
VII. Adjournment
The motion was made by Linda Williams and seconded that the
NP&EDC does hereby vote to adjourn the meeting.
The vote was unanimous.
The Chairman adjourned the meeting @ 6:20PM
