SPECIAL MEETING
NANTUCKET PLANNING AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COMMISSION
5:00 PM, THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 19, 2009
2 FAIRGROUNDS ROAD
7 Members Present: Andrew Bennett, Brian Chadwick, Bert Johnson,
Michael Kopko, Nat Lowell, Barry Rector, Linda Williams
Staff Present: Andrew Vorce, T. Michael Burns, Jeromette Hicks
Audience Present: Peter Brace (Independent), Alicia Hull (I&M)
I. Call to Order Chairman Lowell called the meeting to order @ 5:00PM
II. Establishment of Quorum The Chairman declared a quorum was present.
III. Approval of Agenda
The motion was made by Linda Williams and seconded that the NP&EDC does hereby
approve the NP&EDC agenda for Feb. 19, 2009.
The vote was unanimous.
IV. Public Comment
V. Action / Discussion Items
A. Action / Discussion: FY 2007-2010 TIP Amendment
The Cliff Road bike path is not “shovel” ready and will be moved to a date to-be-
determined.
The Federal Funds from the American Recovery & Reinvestment Act (ARRA) is 1.76%
share which is 8x the usual share we receive just in highway funding.
The motion was made by Linda Williams and seconded that the NP&EDC does hereby
approve the amendment of the FY 2007-2010 TIP, (delete Cliff Rd Bike Path, add
Milestone Road Maintenance & add NRTA Projects), effective following the public
hearing on Feb. 23, 2009, and so long as there is no significant public opposition to
this amendment prior to closure of the public review period.
The vote was unanimous.

VII. Adjournment
The motion was made by Linda Williams and seconded that the NP&EDC does
hereby adjourn the meeting.
The vote was unanimous.
The Chairman adjourned the meeting at 5:03 PM.
