The meeting was called to order by Bill Grieder, president of the Madaket Conservation Association, who introduced Chairman Anne Kuszpa at 4:07 pm. The field engineers ex-plained how they had been testing noise levels over the weekend, using a $30,000 piece of state-of-the art equipment. Peter Morrison then presented a power point discussion on the work of the NESC. Simon Thomas and George Aronson provided slide information and answered questions from the 25 or so people attending. The projects were discussed at length, particularly the visual and sound impacts of the pro-posed Madaket turbines. A list of residents interested in having a personal “flicker” study was compiled. One suggestion was that the NESC compile a list of potential federal or state grants for homeowners installing alternative energy systems in their own homes. There being no further business, the meeting adjourned at 6:30 pm. Respectfully submitted,H. Flint Ranney, Secretary
