Minutes, meeting on January 27, 2011, at 2 Fairgrounds Road, NantucketNext scheduled meeting: February 3, 2011, 5pm, 16 Broad Street
In attendance were committee members Anne Kuszpa, Mike Burns, Chris Magee, Barbara Gookin, Peter Morrison, and H. Flint Ranney. Absent was Whitey Willauer. Also present were Gregg Tivnan and consultant Bob Morrison.
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Anne Kuszpa at 10:10 am. The agenda was comprised of discussion of Peter Morrison’s proposed power point presentation on Janu-ary 31 at the Maddequet Admiralty Club, the public meeting scheduled for 4 pm.
The presentation was discussed in detail and at considerable length, with many sugges-tions for changes and simplification. Mr. Morrison was complimented for an excellent piece of work.
At Mr. Tivnan’s suggestion, it was agreed that some sort of “takeaway” informational pamphlet or sheet could be prepared for distribution at the Admiralty meeting and pos-sibly in advance of Town Meeting in April. At Mr. Ranney’s suggestion it was agreed that periodic information sessions might be scheduled between now and Town Meeting to acquaint the community with the NESC’s work.
Barbara Gookin said that her son Colin will be presenting his Energy Kiosk project at the BOS meeting on February 2.
There being no further business, the meeting adjourned at 11:50 am.
