Draft minutes of the Nantucket Energy Committee 4:30 PM.
July 1, 2010 Conference Room 2 Fairgrounds Road
I . Call to Order….The meeting was called to order at 4:35 PM
II. Establish a Quorum
III. Election of Officers ….This duty was not originally on our Agenda, but it was
necessary to hold the election today as required by our Mission
directives.
The election results were : Barbara Gookin …Chairman,
Anne Kuszpa….Vice Chairman, Alexandra Sandra Hubiczsak –
Welsh…. Secretary
IV. Public Comment on any Non Agenda Item … Michelle Whelan introduced
Alica Seiger who will assist Michelle and Sustainable Nantucket this
summer.
V. Discussion and Action
A. Discussion : Solar Site visits with Chris Eaton
B. Action : Barbara and Whitey have been invited to attend
C. Discussion : Update from Sustainable Nantucket
D. Action : The Energy Committee will review and add suggestions to
the proposed presentation by Sustainable Nantucket on The Green
Communities Plan Etc. The plan is scheduled to be presented to the
Board of Selectmen on July 21, 2010. Energy Committee members have
been invited to attend
E. Discussion : Recent Wind Meeting Whitey held with George Aronson
E. Discussion : Worcester Polytechnical Institute Students proposed
Fall projects . Whitey
F. Discussion : Planning Community Wind Forum. Wind 101
G. Action: Anne will contact MTC for their proposed input into this
project
H. Discussion : Update CCCC Wind Turbine availability. Peter
I. Discussion : Civic Leagues President’s Breakfast 6 / 26. Barbara
VI. Other Business from Committee Members: Application filed for wind
design construction. Anne
VII. Adjourn. The meeting was adjourned at 6:00 PM
